My Little Trooper

Well...it has taken me over a week to finally feel ok about
writing about this terrible experience for the
Pepin Family, however we are thankful and feeling blessed
and things are looking so much brighter!
My Little Trooper as most of our
family and friends know is my Brave guy Brooks!
Without too many details Brooks had a spill last week
off of a 4-Wheeler and Broke his arm!!!
Definitely not our finest day or happiest day!
It was rather traumatizing and quite emotional for all involved!
But, we are strong and Brooks is so Resilient and Brave!

This is Brooks' Arm as we are waiting in the ER.
Definitely forever hard for me to stomach!

Brooks with such a positive attitude
as we waited in the ER!
Brooks is so sweet, that now that he
is feeling better, he wants to write a book
to share with kids to tell them about his
experience and being brave!!

Oh Yes, Brooks was able to ride in
a very Cool Ambulance! I was so happy
that Brooks was excited about it!!

My Little Baby Brooks getting in the
Ambulance to head to All Children's
for a little late night surgery!!

They took such great care of him...
he was thrilled he got to watch
Madagascar on his way!!

Brooks is such a Trooper having fun
in this Terrible Situation!!
He is such an inspiration to our family
and to his friends!!

After a day or 2 of recovering Brooks
was back to himself and ready to go.
Now we are just getting creative to find things to do
for the next 3 weeks!!
The boys made spaceships out of boxes!!
All fun now!!!

1st Day back to school
and the center of attention!!

He is so adorable and my very special guy!
I have had to buy several new button up shirts
to fit over this enormous arm!!
This is the Temporary Cast from Surgery!

Brooks getting the Permanent Cast on for the next 3 weeks!
He has 3 Pins in his elbow,
but after 1 week the X-Ray was Perfect!
His arm looks amazing.
He will fully recover and be back to
all his favorite sports and activities!

And there's my big buddy with his new
Blue Cast!!!

Well...as you can imagine this is not
easy for my 6 year old! But thanks to
my very sweet friend Jessica she filled
me with some wonderful ideas on making this fun!!
So, let the countdown begin!
20 more days till Brooks gets his Cast off!!!

Brooks' Chart to mark off the day... everyday!
This we can do! Countdown is on!
We are ready to celebrate!!!
We are strong, and getting stronger!
I have to thank all of our family and friends
for being so sweet with cards, treats, and mostly just supportive love!!
This was very tough for me as mom watching
my little guy go through this, but I am so thankful
for my family.....and truly count my
blessings as we go into Thanksgiving!!
